CARBON OFFSETTING and SUSTAINABILITY
The European Commission applies measures to ensure that the events it organises or co-organises are as green and sustainable as possible.
The European Commission aims to reduce the CO2 footprint for the European Maritime Day and to encourage participants to offset their climate impact via green projects delivering value for the environment.
In order to offset the 132 tons of CO2 emissions produced by the 2022 edition of the EUROPEAN MARITIME DAY, the Municipality of Ravenna together with the
European Commission, Directorate General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries decided to support actions of trees planting in the wider area of Ravenna.
We invite you to consult the actions settled for this EMD 2022 edition, clicking here.
We encourage you to offset your own emissions via available platforms such as https://co2.myclimate.org/en/event_calculators/new
The European Commission applies measures to ensure that the events it organises or co-organises are as green and sustainable as possible even if they are totally virtual.
